Dr. Jeff
Spaletta began his career in education in 1995 as a middle school
teacher. During his 26 year career in education, he has spent time as a
teacher, high school coach, elementary principal, high school principal,
athletic/director, school board member, executive director, coordinator
and chief executive officer. He has worked in human resources, federal
programs and charter schools around the United States. Spaletta started
serving as Cobre's Superintendent on June 2, 2022. Prior to arriving at
Cobre Schools, Spaletta was the coordinator of human resources with Las
Cruces Public Schools. His experience includes leading academic
improvements, school finance, grant writing, implementing college and
career academics, and facility renovations.
Spaletta is a native of Eureka, California. He holds a doctorate degree
in educational leadership from the University of New England. He has two
children, Ashley and Brayden. Ashley is a high school special education
teacher.
