Parade Float/Participant Entry Information
The Cobre High School Homecoming Parade is scheduled for Friday, September26, 2025. It will begin at the Porter Oil Parking Lot at approximately 1:00 p.m.
Parade Entry Requirements
1. Registration fee is $10.00. A float may be entered by a teacher, a class, an organization, or a group of classes or clubs. All clubs, sports, and extra/co-curricular activities are encouraged to enter a float.
2. Floats will be judged on the parade route in front of the Family Dollar Store according to originality, appearance, school spirit, homecoming theme, and effort.
3. Registration will begin immediately. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
4. Floats can only be made on a pickup, camper, or trailer, which is pulled. 5. Entries must be at the Porter Oil parking lot at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, September 26 ,2025, to line up. You will receive a copy of the parade order beforehand so you will know your place in line.
6. All vehicles driven in the parade must have a licensed driver and a CCSD employee or students’ parent or other responsible, pre-approved adult either driving, riding on, or walking beside the float or car, making sure no one drives faster than 5 mph, keeps a distance of 35 feet between vehicles, that the number of people on the vehicle is safe,
and that no one rides on vehicle hoods, trunks, or roofs. The driver will ensure that participants do not throw objects at spectators.
7. The parade will end in front of Cobre High School (parking lot).
8. Entrants are responsible for disassembling their floats and for disposing of all materials immediately after the parade.
9. All students in the parade must be academically eligible and will need signed parent permission slips.
