Notice is here by given that a Special Board Meeting of the Cobre Consolidated School District Board of Education is called for November 28, 2025 at 2:00pm in the afternoon at the board room located at the Cobre Consolidated School District Offices. Attached is the agenda for the meeting.

Due to an outbreak of Covid, Cobre School District is moving to remote learning for the entire District Wednesday and Thursday and have janitorial staff do a deep cleaning over the next 2 days to avoid a more severe outbreak and hopefully allow staff and students to heal over the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Cobre High School is still looking for a few more community members to join the Cobre Compass program! With the Cobre Compass program, volunteers would help mentor high school students in various ways. CALLING all students in 4th-12th grade. If you are interested in auditioning for the Little Mermaid production there will be another opportunity to attend the parent meeting at the Silver School’s district office on Thursday, October 30th at 5:30 pm. If you already attended the parent meeting at the Cobre district office, there is no need to attend this session.

Come out in your costumes and join the fun today at Cobre High School. The Cobre District Trunk or Treat, this will be held today, October 29th, starting at 4:30pm till 6:30pm or till supplies run out.

Secretary Padilla has announced the goal of graduating 2,400 more students with the class of
2026. The New Mexico Public Education Department will be offering regional support to
educators, parents, and students. The regional convenings, known as Operation Graduation,
will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the Grant County Veterans Memorial Business &

We thank you and your family for being valued partners in educating the children of our district.
We invite parents and guardians to participate in a brief survey on student well-being from the New
Mexico Public Education Department to share your experiences with Cobre Consolidated School District.
This family-school relationship survey is to gather feedback and help develop parents’ capacity to
contribute to their children’s learning – an important factor in promoting positive student outcomes.
This survey closes on November 7, 2025, and can be completed online from any internet-connected
device (laptop, desktop, Chromebook, tablet, or smartphone).


How will families take the survey online?
Families will take an anonymous survey by going to:
• surveys.panoramaed.com/newmexico/family and selecting their child(ren)'s school from the dropdown menu.
• Once there, select your child’s school from a searchable drop-down menu.
• Families may also select other languages from the drop down.
• After families answer all their questions, be sure to hit the blue “Submit “button.
• If a family has students attending more than one school within the district, you may go
back to the same link to take the survey about a different student.
