Seniors: this week is the last week to get with Mr. Burnette to submit Senior Photos, baby photos, and senior quotes to be included in the yearbook. If you want to include any, make sure to speak with him this week!

At the request of Deming Athletics, the Cobre vs Deming home game that was rescheduled for Saturday has been rescheduled to January 22, 2026, at 5 pm and 6:30 pm. Again, this is the Deming vs Cobre game that was originally scheduled for tomorrow. So tonight's home game vs Animas will be the last game for this week for the Girls Basketball Team.

The Cobre High School Student Council recently dropped off Christmas cards for Fort Bayard Residents! Pictured here are the amazing activities workers who helped distribute the cards for us!

More Fun With Poetry in Mr. Brown's ELA Class (Tranquilbuzz Coffee House in Silver City for an extra credit opportunity).

Students in Mr. Brown's English Language Arts classes were given an extra credit opportunity to recite their original poetry at an open mic event at the Tranquil Buzz Coffee House in Silver City. Four students—Jayden, Andrew, Jasmine, and Alexis—chose to participate and recite their personal poetry during the open mic night!

The CHS Sophomore class is holding a Movie Night fundraiser on Friday December 12, 2025 at the Performing Arts Center. They will be showing How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The movie starts at 7 pm. For ages 3 and under admission is free with an accompanying adult, ages 4-12 are $4 with an accompanying adult, and 13+ will be $5. Ages 14 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Cobre High School Powerlifting will be having its 3rd Annual Powerlifting Meet on January 24, 2025. We hope to see you there!

The newest group of Cobre High School National Honor Society Members are set to be inducted on Monday, December 8, 2025! The ceremony will take place in the Cobre High School Performing Arts Center from 6 pm to 6:45 pm.

The Cobre High School and Snell Middle School Bands will be having a holiday concert in the Cobre High School Performing Arts Center next Tuesday, December 9th, 2025, starting at 6 pm! We hope to see you there!

Help the Cobre High School Key Club with donating to our local animal shelter this holiday season!

From now until December 18th, The Cobre HS Key Club will be taking donations for our local shelters (Food, Blankets, and Dog/Cat toys). Donations may be dropped off at Cobre High School or at Birdwells in Silver City.

Any photos or quotes turned in after this date are not guaranteed to make it in the yearbook. The Cobre Indian Pride Band had three students make it into the All State Band group. Those students are Joaquin Trujillo, Joey Uresti, and Mateo Salcido. Congratulations to these three students!!

The remote learning schedule for Cobre High School for tomorrow (Wed. Nov. 19, 2025) and Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025. Students will meet with their teacher via Google Meet. The link for their classroom Google Meet can be found on their Google Classroom.

Unfortunately, we have to postpone our SMS Literacy Night, which was scheduled for this evening. Will will plan to reschedule for February, so be on the lookout for updates. Wishing you all good health!

Congratulations to Cobre High School Volleyball Player and State Champ Bella Saiz! She was selected for the 3A/4A red team for the NMHSA All-Star Volleyball Game!
