The Cobre Consolidated Parent Center is asking for donations of clothing. We are needing new or gently used clothes from newborn to sizes that will fit high school students. Donations may be dropped off at the Bayard Elementary Office.
⚠Steak Lunch Alert!⚠
For the third quarter, Cobre High School students with 0 tardies and 0 unexcused absences from Jan 6 to Mar 6 will receive a steak lunch at school on March 10th. Should a student be out sick, a doctor's note will be needed so as not to count against them for the purpose of this steak lunch incentive. Also, any days missed due to any athletic event or school activity will not be counted against the student.

The Cobre Wrestling Team is currently selling donuts as part of a fundraising effort to cover the costs of their spirit packs for the 24-25 season. Donuts will be available for purchase at the wrestling room today at 4PM. The price is $20 per dozen.
As we get ready to finish up for Thanksgiving Break, here is a quick look ahead. Here is our Midterms Week schedule for the last week of the semester. Once students return to classes after Thanksgiving break, we only have 12 days left in the semester. The final week will include our midterm schedule below. Each day will be a normal schedule, but students will take the midterm of their respective classes below. Should students miss Monday or Tuesday, they will need to make up their midterm in those classes on Wednesday and Thursday.

Dear Cobre Consolidated School District Families,
We thank you and your family for being our valued partners as we work together to educate the children in our district. As you may already be aware, building our social-emotional learning skills is an important goal for our school this year. Over the next few weeks, students, teachers, and parents/guardians will be asked to participate in brief surveys on student wellbeing published by the New Mexico Public Education Department.
Students: We will be asking your child to reflect on their own mindsets and approaches to learning via a confidential online survey they will be completing at school. All students in grades 3-12 will be required to complete the survey as their responses will provide invaluable insights into their experiences and how we can improve and adapt our district to their needs.
Parents/Guardians: We will also be asking parents/guardians to take an optional brief survey to tell us about your experience with Cobre Consolidated School District. To ensure we continue to provide high quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for college and career, we need your feedback. We want to know what you think.
All surveys will begin on Tuesday October 28, 2024 and close on Friday, November 29, 2024. Parents/guardians will be able to take the survey online at home on any internet-connected device (e.g. laptop, desktop, Chromebook, tablet, smartphone). If you need access to a computer to complete the survey, please work with your child’s school to take the survey at the school.

Cobre Volleyball Fans! At the game in Socorro this Saturday, they will only be using GoFan for tickets; there will be no ticket purchases at the door. Also, for their concession stand, only cash will be accepted.
Cobre Football Fans! At this Friday's game in Hatch, Hatch is hosting a Trunk or Treat. They have invited Cobre Fans to bring their youngsters dressed up in Halloween costumes to also participate in their Trunk or Treat.
The Cobre School District is putting on a Thanksgiving Food Drive!
Each School is in charge of collecting certain food items. Cobre High School will be collecting canned green beans and corn. Items can be dropped off in the CHS Office. The deadline for canned items is 11/13/24.
The Bayard Public Library is offering Dia De Los Muertos Programming! Today we will begin building a community ofrenda to honor our passed loved ones. The public is welcome to add photographs of their passed loved ones and items they enjoyed. Volunteers are welcome to help build the ofrenda.
All ages are welcome for all three workshops! We will have a Paper Marigold workshop w/Sally Tilton Friday, October 18. We will also have a Sugar Skull making workshop on Wednesday, October 23 and Sugar Skull Decorating Workshop on Wednesday, October 30. You don't have to attend on the 23rd to participate in decorating sugar skulls. We will make plenty extra. After decorating your sugar skulls, you can take them home or add it to the public ofrenda. All are welcome!
The Sophomore Class will be selling baked goods on November 7th, 2024 at Cobre High School from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm. This will be during the Cobre vs Hot Springs Volleyball games. All proceeds will go to the class of 2027.
The Food Pantry will be held tomorrow at Hurley Elementary, this will begin at 9am to 1pm or until supplies run out. All community members are welcome to enjoy the food pantry. Please stay in your vehicle and we will come to your vehicle.
🚨REMINDER:🚨The Cobre Consolidated District Schools will be dismissed early on Thursday, October 17th. Elementary Schools at 12:30 pm and the middle school and high school students at 1:00 pm. The homecoming parade will follow at about 2:00 pm. We hope to see you there!
Cobre Consolidated Schools will have an early dismissal on October 17, 2024, to allow students, staff, and the community to participate in the annual Cobre High School Homecoming Parade.
Dismissal will be as follows:
-Elementary: 12:30 PM
-Middle/High School: 1:00 PM
