The Snell Middle School Football & Cheer teams will be hosting a Green Chile Cheeseburger Fundraiser on Friday, August 29th at the CHS Cafeteria. $10 for a burger and fries. Deliveries will be available for orders of 5 or more.

With the start of the new school year, it's time for our Fall Sports Parent Meeting and the Cobre High School open house! Both events will take place on Monday, August 4, 2025. The Fall Sports Parent Meeting will be in the Performing Arts Center at Cobre High School at 5:00 pm for parents and athletes of both Cobre High School and Snell Middle School.
Starting at 6:00 pm, Cobre High School's doors will be open for an open house! The perfect opportunity for parents to meet with the teachers and staff of Cobre High School! Stop by, meet our teachers and staff, and check out the classrooms!

The Cobre High School Senior Class of 2026 will be having their Senior Sunrise event on July 31, 2025 at the Cobre High School Football Field. Gates will open at 6am, with sunrise at 6:30am.

Now is a great time to get it! Cassie Health Center still has two more dates for physicals; July 18 and August 1! Or, get with your health provider for a physical. The CHS Junior class is having a “Paint Your Parking Spot” fundraiser! Purchase your spot and design it to represent you for $30, payments to be collected during student registration.
All purchases and spot designs must be paid for and approved before painting can begin.

The Cobre High School Cross Country Team will start their summer preseason this morning at 8am! Cobre High School and Snell Middle School students from grades 6-12 are encouraged to join and try Cross Country out! Locations vary based on the day; see the schedule below.
Until further notice Summer Lunch in the park will take place at Bayard Elementary School inside the cafeteria, due to the heavy smoke advisories that are in effect. Viola Stone Park, Bayard Park, and Hurley Park will remain closed until further notice.
Please be advised that due to the thick smoke from the forest fire here in Grant County . Lunch in the park on Monday June 16th is canceled. Please keep an eye on the Cobre webpage and facebook for further updates.
Cobre High School will be opening up our front parking lot for any RV’s that need to park for those affected by the Trout fire. We do not have power or bathrooms at the parking lot as of right now.

Introducing Cobre High School's Head Wrestling Coach for the 25-26 school year, Mr. Sam Trujillo! Coach Trujillo brings a wealth of knowledge of wrestling. We are glad to have him on the team!
The Cobre High School class of 2026 will be having a Summer Carwash Fundraiser this Saturday, June 7, from 9am to 2pm at the Bayard Food Basket. There will also be additional popsicles and waters. Thank you for your support!
