Our Cobre family is coming together to support one of our own during a very difficult time. Kali is currently hospitalized following a tragic accident, and we want to show her and her family that they are not alone.
On Monday, April 6th, we are asking everyone to wear green and black — Kali’s favorite colors — to show our support, unity, and strength.
We also invite anyone who is able to help support Kali and her family through:

Taylor McWhorter, Cobre High School Senior, represented Cobre at the New Mexico American Legion Oratorical Contest this weekend, delivering an 8-minute speech on the Constitution, along with an unprepared speech on an assigned topic. She earned second place in the competition. Congratulations to Taylor on a great accomplishment! 👏
Our Track & Field team is looking for volunteers to help us run our field events this Thursday! Please let Coach Benfield (benfield@cobreschools.org) or Coach Burnette (hburnette@cobreschools.org) know if you are interested! The meet will start at 3:00 pm and run until 8-9 pm. We are looking for help running field events, measuring jumps & throws, etc. If you have any questions, let us know! We hope to see you there!

Instructional Recovery Day – Monday, March 9
Due to the January 12 water closure, Cobre HS and Snell MS will hold an Instructional Recovery Day to make up missed instructional time as required by NMPED.
Students will follow a modified schedule (see flyer below).

Both the boys and girls basketball games this weekend, hosted at Cobre High School as a part of the first round of the state tournament, will be GoFan only events.
